Fennel seed has been used for centuries to increase breast milk production and is loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and vitamins A, B-complex, C, and D.
Anise seed has been used for centuries as a natural galactagogue. Its effectiveness is attributed to its phytoestrogen compounds, which mimic the action of estrogen in the body – a hormone that plays a vital role in milk production.
OPTIONAL HERBS
Fenugreek (optional) is a popular herbal remedy for increasing the production of breast milk. It's thought to boost the supply of breast milk due to its effect on sweat production. Mammary glands are sweat glands that have been modified by hormonal stimulation. **Fenugreek can cause your breast milk, urine, and sweat to smell like maple syrup. If you breastfeed your baby, it can also make your baby’s urine and sweat smell like maple syrup.
Calendula (optional) The herb's antifungal and antimicrobial properties help prevent infection and heal injuries to body tissues. Calendula is also known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant components.
